The Photography Setup

These are all affiliate links, but this is a comprehensive list of all my photography gear. I will break it into different sections.

The Cameras

Canon EOS 7D Mark II

It’s Retired, but it’s still my daily driver. It’s what I use for everything I shoot and then some. It’s older, but it’s a workhorse. If you still want a DSLR that will carry a business for years, it’s this.

Canon EOS T5

My first camera, it’s still my backup for a lot of work I do and does great as a video camera.

Lenses

Sigma 18-300mm F3.5-6.3

The ultimate workhorse in lenses. This is the Canon Mount but there are other mounts available. It does Macro amazing, it does action great, it does portraits great, overall, it handles everything with pretty good clarity.

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8

This is my “I need it because that’s what people say you need for portraits”. And they are wrong… and right. It’s an amazing portrait prime lens. And NO you don’t need f/1.4 for almost $1,500 more

50mm f/1.8 and 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 pack

If you can find this two pack still. Get it. GET IT NOW. The nifty 50 is a top tier portrait lens and the 10mm is a great ultra wide lens.

Lens Accessories

K&F Concept 72mm Clear-Natural Night Filter

If you live in… anyplace there is any sort of light pollution. Like me in Atlanta or even a small town. This filter is worth every penny. This is the 72mm version to fit the Sigma 18-300 lens.

GREEN.L 77mm ND1000

Unfortunately they don’t have the 72mm in stock anymore. But this is a 10 stop lens filter. It’s perfect for long exposure daytime photography.
